My name is Michael Pearson, I am an ordained Christian counselor! I have been offering Pastoral counseling for well over 20 years! I've assisted many families, marriages and individuals all throughout the United States and abroad in finding their own happiness, peace and joy. I've helped many clients achieve their personal and professional goals. I am also certified in "Trauma informed approaches" from my time counseling children in a group home setting and assisting them in managing and recovering from personal violations and traumatic occurrences. The essence of my work is to facilitate self-healing, self awareness, and self confidence by helping you identify the core challenges and setbacks in your life, so they can overcome. I specialize in creating personalized plans and providing tools to guide you forward and achieve your desired goals. All under the guidance of the Holy Spirit and my heart as a Pastoral counselor. What is a Pastoral heart? I believe my clients know themselves, or have the potential to know themselves, better then a counselor or therapist. All of my clients thoughts and feelings are welcome. My job is not to heal the client, it is to help the client heal themselves with exposure to the principles and guidance of the Holy Spirit. I believe my clients can heal when they contribute to their own growth in what is sufficient and necessary. No matter how self destructive or hurtful my client has been, I see that behind his/ her protective layers their is a loveable, vulnerable, and good person. I am open to my clients feedback. I am conscious that I am not fully conscious, hence he need for the Holy Spirits presence at all times. I do not rest on or put any expectations on the client. I am confident that I can help my clients care for their wounds without overwhelming them or making their struggles worse. I commit to being the guardian of my clients self and to always having his/her best interests in mind. I believe my clients already have all the answers, wisdom, and capacity to heal within themselves. My job is to help them access those resources. I will do my best to sit with any suffering my clients share. I charge for my time and expertise; my heart is free!
